The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree course in Electronic Systems Programme which does not require JEE main or JEE advanced score. Currently, the application window for this course is open. The last day to register is May 26, 2024. The entrance exam for this online course is scheduled for 7th July.
This programme offers exits at various levels, allowing various degrees: Foundational Level Certificate, Diploma, and Bachelor of Science. While the duration for a BS degree course is four years, the Foundation Level Certificate and Diploma courses can be completed within 1-3 years.
The Electronic Systems Programme aims to cultivate skilled graduates in the electronics and manufacturing sector in India. It is aligned with the India Semiconductor Mission’s objective of transforming India into a worldwide centre for electronics manufacturing and design.

IIT Madras Electronic Systems Programme: Steps to Register

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT Madras at https://study.iitm.ac.in/es/
Step 2: Click on the “Apply Now” option, it will lead you to the the registration window.
Step 3: Enter the required details and sign in.
Step 4: Fill out the application form with your personal details, and educational qualifications.
Step 5: Choose the exam city and click submit.
Step 6: Pay the application fee online using a credit/ debit card or net banking.
Step 7: Finally, submit the application form.

Eligibility Criteria

This online BS programme is open to all 12th pass candidates with a science background. It’s mandatory for them to have Physics and Mathematics in Higher Secondary.

Fee structure

The fee structure tends to differ at each level of the course. For the complete BS course the fee amount is Rs. 5,84,000 whereas at the degree level, the candidate would have to pay Rs. 3,36,000.

Other Important Details

The programme will be taught in an integrated mode, where the theory sessions will be online and lab sessions at the institute campus.
The assignment submission will also be in online mode but exams will be conducted in person at IIT Madras campus.
The BS (degree) level comprises 12 courses and one optional Apprenticeship.
