Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey, who has made films like Special-26, A Wednesday and Baby, has directed it. M.M. Keerwani, Manoj Muntashir and Neeraj Pandey had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Read the highlights of the conversation.. Question- Keerwani sahab, you had started working on the song even before the film went on the floor, tell us something about it? Answer- I had started working with Neeraj Pandey in a film some time ago. However, this film could never be completed. We had already recorded the songs for this film. The film may not have been made, but from that time itself we had planned that we will definitely work together someday. Perhaps that is why I had already started working on the songs for Neeraj ji’s film. Question- Manoj, you have incorporated poetry very well in the songs of this film, such songs are rarely heard, what would you say? Answer- For me, writing lyrics is both easy and difficult. It is easy because I know poetry. Because of this, I am able to include poetry in the lyrics, which makes the songs very good. It is difficult because you cannot give your best every day. It is possible that sometimes you may not remember the right lines. We know that if we do even a little mediocre work, it will not be liked. Therefore, in a way, writing lyrics is also a very difficult task. Question- Neeraj, what was your process while making songs for this film? Answer- Keerwani sahab and I used to lock the tunes first. I used to explain the situation to Keerwani sahab, he used to make songs accordingly. Keerwani sahab has a specialty that he never asks too many questions. If I say that Sir, I don’t like this thing, then they immediately start making changes. They never say what is lacking in it or why they don’t like it. They immediately start working on another creation. Once we have worked on the tune, we bring Manoj in the frame. He then writes the lyrics according to the tune. Question- Manoj, you are one of those few lyricists who has very good knowledge of both Hindi and Urdu. You have also mixed it in the song of the film, what would you say? Answer- Hindi and Urdu, both these languages ​​breathe in each other. There is a lot of similarity between the two. For some time now, it is being spread that both the languages ​​are different, there is nothing like that. You will see a complete mixture of Hindi and Urdu in the song of this film. Question- The pair of Neeraj, Ajay and Tabu has been seen in many films, what was the purpose of casting them? Answer- You always need a right actor for your film. I couldn’t have had a better option than Ajay and Tabu. As a director, if you have good actors, the journey becomes easy to a great extent. Question- Keerwani sahab, you compose very few Hindi songs, why so? Answer- First of all, I live in Hyderabad, while the Hindi film industry runs from Mumbai. Secondly, I have some conditions. If the film makers understand that, only then I work with them. Let me give you an example. I don’t believe in the concept of marriage. There is a wedding song in Neeraj ji’s film Special-26. I had clearly told him that I cannot compose this song. When I don’t believe in a particular thing, then how can I celebrate it. Neeraj ji understood my point and got that song composed by someone else. Manoj Muntashir also answered this question. He said- I want Keerwani sahab to work less for Hindi films. Ghee tastes good only in one spoon, if it is given in a bucket, then perhaps you will not be able to digest it. I want that Keerwani sahab should give one music in two years, but that music should be amazing. Question- Neeraj, you have been away from the big screen for a long time, what were the reasons for this? Answer- The era of Covid had come. This was a big reason. On the other hand, I was busy making the series Special Ops and Khaki- The Bihar Chapter, due to which I was not working on films. Question- Manoj, how do you see Neeraj Pandey’s film making or writing? Answer- I have always been a fan of Neeraj sir’s film making. There is no answer to his writing. Maybe even I will not be able to reach the way he writes. Question- The songs of today are not that melodious, what could be the reason behind this? Keerwani sahab, you tell. Answer- Look, it is not that the songs of today are not melodious. When you listen to these songs after four-five years from today, they will sound good. It’s just a matter of time.
