Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman has recently been seen in the web series ‘Hiramandi’. In the series, he has been seen in the character named Zulfikar. Meanwhile, in an interview, Shekhar shared an incident related to the film ‘Utsav’ released in 1984. Shekhar told that during the shooting of the film, he, Shashi Kapoor and the co-actors were going to Bengaluru by car. Meanwhile, a man met with an accident in his car, after which the villagers surrounded the star cast and started beating him. ‘The villagers took him out of the car and started beating him’ Shekhar said in a podcast interview, ‘Shashi Kapoor, his son Kunal Kapoor, I and my co-actress Anuradha Patel, we all were going in the Ambassador car. Suddenly a man collided with our car and jumped and fell away. Meanwhile the villagers gathered, took us out of the car and started beating us. Holding an actor’s hair, he said – we will blow his head off. The actor further said, ‘They broke the windshield and grabbed Shashi ji’s collar. They started killing his son Kunal Kapoor. Another actor was Rajesh, who is no more. The villagers grabbed his hair and said that they will blow his head off. Well, all this is happening and the man we bumped into is sitting under a tree, drinking tea and smiling. It was a very scary experience. Shekhar Suman’s debut film was ‘Utsav’. Girish Karnad directed film ‘Utsav’ was Shekhar Suman’s debut film. Apart from him, Shashi Kapoor and Rekha were also seen in it. This film was produced by Shashi Kapoor himself. After the release of the film, Kapoor had suffered a loss of Rs 1.5 crore during that period.
