Vivek Oberoi met with an accident during the shooting of Yuva: Abhishek and Ajay immediately took him to the hospital, Mani Ratman had a heart attack after seeing his broken leg.
He was seen in the 2004 film Yuva with Vivek Oberoi, Ajay Devgan, Abhishek Bachchan. Recently, during an interview, Vivek told that he had a bike accident during the shooting of the film Yuva. His leg was broken in the accident, upon seeing which the film’s director Mani Ratnam had a heart attack. Recently, in an interview given to Zoom, Vivek Oberoi shared the story of the shooting of the film Yuva. He said that the evening had turned from a perfectly fun day into one of pain after a horrific motorcycle accident. My leg was broken at three places in the accident. I remember my elder brother Ajay Devgan and my friend Abhishek Bachchan picked me up and took me to the hospital. The leg was broken and blood was flowing everywhere. He further said, I later came to know that Mani Anna (director Mani Ratnam) had suffered a heart attack after seeing my accident. When Mani Ratnam and I were recovering in the hospital, Ajay and Abhishek were with me, they used to boost my hopes by joking. It took 4 months to recover: Vivek Oberoi has told that it took about 4 months for him to recover after breaking his leg in the accident. After recovery, he returned to the set and shot the songs Fanaa and Anjaana Anjaani. Whereas at that time his leg was still recovering. Let us tell you that the film Yuva, released on 21 May 2004, was a huge hit. The film received 7 nominations at the 50th Filmfare Awards, out of which the film won awards in 6 categories. Vivek Oberoi received the Stardust Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film.
