Baghpat’s Nancy Tyagi is showcasing her talent and beauty in the Cannes Film Festival. Due to her dress designing skills, Nancy became a part of the 77th Cannes Film Festival held in France. The special thing is that she arrived at the festival wearing a 20 Kg gown designed by herself. The journey of Nancy, who belongs to an ordinary family, is quite interesting. Nancy, who used to sew dolls’ clothes while playing in her childhood, has today reached the Cannes Film Festival. By uploading dress design videos, she became a famous dress designer and social media influencer. Today Nancy has more than 15 lakh followers on social media. First of all, know who is Nancy Tyagi. Gajend Tyagi, resident of Barnawa, Baghpat, is a mechanic by profession. He also does transporter business and farming. He is survived by his wife Maya, daughter Nancy and son Manu. Both the children did their primary education from the village school. After this Nancy went to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. Some time after Nancy went to Delhi, Corona started spreading in the country. When the situation worsened, lockdown was imposed. Then Nancy came to her home from Delhi. Here he took his mother’s old sewing machine and started stitching his clothes. One day Nancy shared the video of her dress on social media and it went viral. After this she started uploading the video of the dress made by herself. Everyone liked her art and she became an influencer. Nancy had gone to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Nancy’s father Gajendra Tyagi said – The daughter studied from class 6 to 12 from GIC Inter College, Harra, Meerut. After this, in 2020, he along with his wife, son and daughter went to Delhi for studies. Along with her studies in Delhi, Nancy started sewing at home after seeing the clothes of fashion designers. After a few days, she started making reels in those clothes. With the help of clothes, he started getting recognized all over the world. Nancy’s younger brother Manu helps her in designing clothes. Manu said while talking to Bhaskar – 4 months ago, Nancy had received an invitation to Cannes through Brut Company. We were told that you have to go to France for the Cannes Film Festival. Make preparations. We couldn’t believe that we would get such a big chance through social media. Nancy’s self-designed outfit worn on the red carpet is popular in Cannes due to both her beauty and her gown. Manu told- When we came to know about going to Cannes, we thought that we will not showcase clothes made by others there. Nancy decided that she reached this show because of designing. Therefore, she will wear her own prepared gown there. After this, both of us together started thinking about outfit designing. Nancy specially prepared a baby pink rose colored frill gown for the red carpet main show. This three piece gown is made of net fabric. Bought entire 1100 meter net fabric for gown from wholesale market of Delhi. Out of this, the gown has been made from 1000 meters of cloth. Its weight is 20 kg. The gown is in three pieces main gown, gloves and tail. Manu told – Nancy worked day and night for a month to design this gown and stitched it with a machine at home. Apart from net, the gown has motifs work. Mom and dad have also given full support in this work. Nancy has prepared a total of 4 dresses for the Cannes Festival. The main dress was a pink gown, which she showcased on the red carpet. Apart from this, there are 3 more dresses which have been revealed in the show. As difficult as it was for Nancy to prepare this gown, it was equally difficult to transport it from India to France. To pack the 20 kg gown, 3 big container bags had to be specially prepared. So that the gown can be easily kept in it. For this, separate baggage booking has also to be done. I did not have such a big dream. While talking to the paparazzi in Cannes in Hindi, Nancy said – Where I am standing today, I did not have such a big dream. I made a gown for myself using one thousand meters of fabric in just one month. My journey was difficult, but every moment was precious. I am grateful for all your love and support. Nancy’s mother Maya used to sew dolls’ clothes in her childhood. Nancy used to make clothes for her dolls in her childhood. She used to make new clothes every day. At that time we did not know that she would become a designer in future. First of all, she shared a video of making saree lehenga, which was liked a lot. Since then she has been continuously uploading videos. Nancy has started 100 days outfit challenge on social media. In this she has completed 90 dresses.
