UGC NET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application submission deadline for UGC NET June 2024 session once again. Candidates who wish to apply for the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test June 2024 session can register till May 19, 2024 at the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. This is the second time that the registration deadline has been extended.Previously, the extended date was 15th May.
The deadline for submitting the UGC NET examination fee has also been extended to May 20, up to 11:59 PM. The previous deadline was from May 16 to May 17, 2024. Candidates can complete the payment using a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. And now the application correction window for UGC NET exam will be open from May 21 to May 23, 2024.
The exam centre, city and other details will be announced after the registration process is completed.

Here is a step-by-step application guideline for candidates aspiring to sit for the UGC NET 2024 June session exam.
Step 1: Go to the official NTA UGC NET website (https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in).
Step 2: Click on the link for “UGC NET 2024 Application.” and click on “New Registration.”
Step 3: Click on “New Registration.”
Step 4: Read the instructions carefully and click on “Click Here to Proceed.”
Step 5: Fill in the registration form with your personal details, including name, date of birth, and contact information.
Step 6: Create a password and submit the form. You will receive an application number.
Step 7: Log in using the application number and password.
Step 8: Complete the application form with your personal, academic, and contact details.
Select the subject and the exam center preferences.

“Regarding submission of online application form for UGC – NET June 2024 for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii) ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii) ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges. NTA decided to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC – NET June 2024, enabling the aspiring candidate(s) to apply,” reads the official notice.
