Candidates who pass the TS POLYCET 2024 exam will be admitted to Diploma Courses in Engineering / Non-Engineering / Technology at Telangana Polytechnics / Institutions (including Aided and Unaided Private Polytechnics / Institutions operating in Private Engineering Colleges). Admission will be done through a counselling process, and colleges will be assigned based on marks, rank, and other criteria.

TS POLYCET 2024 tie-breaking policy

To pass the TS POLYCET 2024, candidates must score at least 30% of the total marks, equating to 36 out of 120. This is the minimum requirement for declaring a candidate as having passed the exam.
For candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST), there is a special provision. These candidates will be assigned a rank if they score at least one mark in the entrance test. This means that SC/ST candidates with less than 30% marks will still be eligible to compete for seats reserved for their category during the admission process.
Ranking for admission into diploma courses will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance test. It is important to note that these rules may be subject to amendments issued by the Government from time to time. The authorities will ensure the accuracy of answer sheet valuation, result tabulation, and candidate ranking. Therefore, requests for revaluation or re-totaling of the answer sheets will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Tie-breaking rule for TS POLYCET 2024
In case of a tie in rank at the entrance test, several criteria will be used to resolve it. Firstly, the marks obtained in Mathematics and then Physics will be considered. If the tie still persists, the date of birth, as entered in the SSC certificate, will be taken into account, with the older candidate being given a higher rank. If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying test will be considered to have obtained a better rank.
