Theft in Anupam Kher’s office: Thieves escaped with goods worth Rs 4.15 lakh and negative reel of the film, FIR lodged with the police
There has been a theft in Anupam Kher’s Veera Desai office in Mumbai. The thieves escaped with the safe box from the office’s accounts department. Not only this, the thieves also took away the negative box of a film. In a CCTV footage, the thieves were seen sitting in an auto. Anupam Kher has lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police in this matter. Anupam Kher gave information about this entire matter on his social media account. He has also shared the video of the broken safe. This incident is of 19 June. Anupam Kher shared the post that last night in my Veera Desai Road office, two thieves broke two doors of my office and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably could not break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company which were in a box. Our office has filed an FIR. And the police have assured that the thieves will be caught very soon. Because in the CCTV camera, both of them are seen sitting in an auto with the goods. The police have assured me – Anupam Kher A police officer told ETimes that the thieves broke the lock and stole goods worth about Rs 4.15 lakh including cash. Anupam Kher also spoke to ETimes about this and told that the reel that the thieves stole was in a bag. The thieves thought that there might be money in the bag. Those were the reels of the film ‘Maine Gandhi ko Kyun Mara’. Anupam Kher further said, ‘This is an old building, which has only a few CCTV cameras. In the footage I got, I saw that two thieves have committed the theft together. Amboli Police has assured me that they will trace them.’ Let us tell you, the police has started investigating the matter.
