Sridevi was approached for ‘Mohabbatein’: The actress was to play the role of Amitabh’s wife, Karishma and Kajol also got the offer.

Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Jugal Hansraj, Uday Chopra, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty, Kim Sharma and Preeti Jhangiani were seen in the film. Let us tell you, initially its casting was going to be different. In ‘Mohabbatein’, Kim Sharma has played the role of Sanjana and Shamita Shetty has played the role of Ishika Dhanrajgir. Karisma Kapoor and Kajol were to be cast in the film instead of Shamita Shetty and Kim Sharma. But for some reason both of them refused to do the film. Ultimately Shamita Shetty and Kim Sharma were cast in their place. Sridevi was also offered a role in the film Shahrukh Khan’s name is Aryan Malhotra. It is believed that this name is inspired by his son Aryan. Mithun Chakraborty also had a small role in this film, but due to the length of the film, his role had to be removed later. Earlier, the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s wife was also going to be shown in the film. Late actress Sridevi was also approached for this, but later this scene was removed from the film. For this reason Sridavi could not be a part of the film. Directed by Aditya Chopra, the film was made on a budget of Rs 13 crore, which made a box office collection of Rs 90 crore.
