Sonali had only 30% chance of surviving cancer: She said, ‘As soon as the disease was discovered, the color of my husband Goldie Behl’s face had vanished, I was in shock.’
Sonali Bendre, one of the popular actresses of the 90s, has talked about her cancer journey. He told how cancer had shaken him and his family. I suddenly disappeared: Sonali In a recent interview, Sonali said, ‘It was very shocking. At that time I wondered how I could get cancer. I was doing a reality show when I came to know about cancer. I used to shoot every week, suddenly all this happened and I suddenly disappeared. When you are a public figure and suddenly disappear and someone takes your place, many things happen. ‘Initially I felt that something was wrong’ When Sonali was asked in an interview how she realized that she had cancer, she said, ‘I felt that there was something that was not right with me. Then I went to the doctor and came to know. Earlier it was thought that the tumor would not be very big but when the tests were done it was found that the matter was serious. My husband Goldie Behl’s face turned white when he heard about cancer. I saw the color drain from the faces of every family member. Goldie took the decision within two days and we went out of the country for treatment. I told Goldie not to rush but she told me to focus only on health and survive. There were only 30% chances of survival. Sonali also told in the interview that while battling cancer, the doctor had told her that there were only 30% chances of her survival. Sonali said, ‘When the doctor told me this, I asked him how can you say this. Today I feel that he was just doing his job and telling me the truth which I did not want to believe. Sonali was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Sonali was diagnosed with cancer in July 2018 and she went to New York for treatment. She stayed there for about 6 months. Sonali became cancer free after treatment. Sonali started her career in 1994 with the film ‘Naaraz’.
