SLB got furious on the sets of ‘Gangubai’: Chhaya Kadam justified Bhansali’s anger, said- I was scared seeing his anger for the first time
Actress Chhaya Kadam is in the news this year for her excellent acting in Kiran Rao’s ‘Missing Ladies’ and Kunal Khemu’s ‘Madgaon Express’. Her film ‘All We Imagine As Light’ recently created history by winning the Grand Prix at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. In a recent interview, she shared her experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In fact, she also worked in Bhansali’s film ‘Gangubai’. Justified Bhansali’s anger In a conversation with Zoom, Chhaya said that Bhansali takes care of every small and big thing in his film. Chhaya laughingly said that she had heard a lot about his nature on the set and had also seen it to a great extent. But later Chhaya realized that she has the right to express herself in this way. Chhaya says that if a person has thought so much about his film and you will spoil it in the end with your mistake. In such a situation, it is obvious that any person will get angry. Sharing her experience, Chhaya said- I saw some things on the set of ‘Gangubai’… when he got angry. I thought ‘this is not how it works’ and ‘I have not worked on such a set before. But later we talked only once. After that the work was completed. Everything was going well till the end. In an interview, Chhaya Kadam also talked about her initial struggle and said- Earlier, my struggle was to get work; and now it is for good work. She further said, earlier film critics did not know about my name, no matter how important my character was.
