Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore has given her reaction on daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor’s last released film ‘Crew’. In an interview, she said that the film was absurd but good. In an interview given on the YouTube show ‘Dil Se with Kapil Sibal’, Sharmila said, ‘Crew’ was an absurd and incomprehensible film but it was entertaining’. Could not believe that it would be such a good film: Sharmila Sharmila said, ‘To be honest, I did not believe at first that this film would be so good. I liked the story of this film the most. Three women are helping each other. One is flying the plane and the other is helping in landing it. This film proved wrong the fact that women are enemies of women’. Sharmila further said that apart from being entertaining, ‘Crew’ also got commercial success. It opened the way for many great films for female actors. The success of ‘Crew’ will inspire many other filmmakers to make women-centric films. Sharmila also spoke on women-centric films Sharmila also talked about the success of Deepika Padukone’s film Piku and the film Lapata Ladies released in March this year. She said that the success of such films shows that cinema is changing and female-centric films should get more support now. Talking about the film Crew, it was released on 29 March 2024.
