Today in Unsuni Daastan, the story of actress Laila Khan. This story of murder and conspiracy is terrifying. Very beautiful Laila Khan appeared in the film Wafa with Rajesh Khanna. Due to this one film, Laila got many other films, but sadly she did not live to do them. In the year 2011, Laila Khan went to Igatpuri, Maharashtra with her family to celebrate holidays, but after that there was no news of her. The producers who had signed Laila for the film by paying her a huge amount, started getting worried about Laila’s disappearance. Initially, allegations were made that Laila Khan had absconded with the producers’ money, but when the investigation began, many shocking revelations were made. Not only Laila but her entire family that had gone on vacation was missing. Every aspect of Laila Khan’s dark story was a question in itself. Amidst many theories like family upheaval, mother’s three marriages and being associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, Laila’s skeleton was found a year later, that too with her three siblings, mother and cousin. The skeletons of pet dogs were also buried with them. Journalist Nishat Shamsi struggled for many months to start the investigation of Laila’s disappearance. In such a situation, to know Laila’s story in depth, Dainik Bhaskar understood the story layer by layer from journalist Nishat. Today read the story of Laila Khan’s filmy glamour, disappearance, conspiracy and investigation in 5 chapters- Laila Khan’s real name was Reshma Patel. She was born in Mumbai in 1978. However, there is no mention of what is the actual date of birth. In the investigation, the police had declared Laila as Pakistani, although this is baseless. Laila Khan’s mother’s name was Athiya Patel, although everyone used to call her by the name Selina. She first married Nadir Patel, with whom she had 4 children. Among the four siblings, Laila Khan had an elder sister and two twin younger siblings. Laila always had an inclination towards the glamour world. This was the reason why she started modeling. Made her acting debut with a Kannada film, the first film flopped After a long struggle, Laila Khan got work in the 2002 big budget Kannada film ‘Makeup’. The film released on 30 November 2002 was appreciated by the critics, but the film flopped badly at the box office. The makers suffered a loss of Rs 75 lakhs due to this film. On one hand, the grief of the first film being a flop and on the other hand, mother Selina divorced father Nadir. Nadir was a simple person. He got married for the second time after separating from Selina. At the same time, Selina kept all the four children with herself and got married for the second time to Asif living in Mira Road. However, this marriage also did not last for many years and Selina got married for the third time to a man named Parvez. Laila Khan appeared in Rajesh Khanna’s comeback film. When her first film flopped, Laila Khan did not get any work for many years. But it is said that patience is fruitful. Laila Khan was cast opposite India’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna in his comeback film ‘Wafa: A Deadly Love Story’. In the film, Laila Khan was shown as an unfaithful wife. The film was directed by Rakhi Sawant’s brother Rakesh Sawant. The film Wafa, released on 19 December 2008, could not do much at the box office and Rajesh Khanna was also criticized for making a C-grade film. Rakhi Sawant’s brother had cast Laila. This film also could not bring name and fame to Laila. Only some time had passed when Wafa film’s director Rakesh Sawant signed Laila Khan in his second film. The name of the film was Jinnat, for which Rakesh gave Laila a huge amount as signing amount. Rakhi Sawant also played an important role in this film. The shooting of the film started and one schedule was completed. There was some time for the next shooting schedule to start, so Laila Khan planned a vacation with her family in Igatpuri. On 30 January 2011, Laila Khan left for the farmhouse in Igatpuri with her mother Celina, elder sister Hasima, twin siblings Imran-Zara and a cousin Reshma. Reshma lived with Laila’s family. Laila also took her pet dogs with her on this vacation. The whole family went on a 126 km journey from Mumbai in 3 cars. Only about 9 days had passed. On 9 February 2011, Celina received a call from her sister Albana Patel. When Albana asked where she was, Celina replied that she was in Chandigarh with her third husband Parvez Tak. Celina lied because she was in Igatpuri at that time. This was the last day when anyone spoke to the family who had gone on vacation. Some days passed and the dates of the second schedule of the film Jinnat started coming closer. When the filmmakers tried to contact Laila, her number was found switched off. The filmmakers started getting worried about not getting any news of Laila, because they had already paid her the fees. First days, then months passed, but there was no news of Laila and her family. The matter came to light due to the efforts of a journalist. Rakesh Sawant, director of the film Jinnat, talked to Nishat Shamsi, who was a TV journalist at that time, on this matter. Rakesh Sawant told him that actress Laila Khan took the fee from him for the film and ran away with the money. Nishat Shamsi, instead of publishing the news, took the matter seriously and started investigating it. To understand this matter closely, Dainik Bhaskar talked to journalist Nishat Shamsi, and he made many shocking revelations. Nishat Shamsi said, ‘I used to be a TV reporter at that time. A story came to me at that time. There was a film producer, he called me and told me that there is a film actress, we had cast her, she was paid the fees, but now she is neither returning the money nor coming forward. When I started working on this story, it was a case of fraud, but when I started investigating, it came to light that Laila Khan has been missing for many months and her car has also not been seen for many months. Not only the actress, her entire family is missing. When Nishat Shamsi went to register a complaint in the case, the police refused to register the complaint. The police told him that until Laila’s real relatives come and file a report, they will not investigate. From here, Nishat Shamsi’s real struggle to find Laila’s family began. About this, he says, ‘Laila’s mother Selina had already divorced her biological father Nadir Patel. She had married a man named Asif Sheikh. I found Asif Sheikh after a lot of hard work. Asif gave me the number of Laila’s biological father Nadir. When I called him, I came to know that he works in Ethiopia, Africa. Initially, Nadir refused to come to India due to financial constraints. In such a situation, journalist Nishat Shamsi gave him 11 thousand rupees and arranged for him to come to India. Nishat Shamsi further says, ‘4 months had passed while doing all this. I went with Nadir and filed a missing report of Laila and her family. During this time, through my investigation, I came to know that Laila’s mother Selina had also divorced her second husband Asif Sheikh and married a third person. However, no one had any information about who that person was. Police did not investigate the case, said – she is a Pakistani actress Despite the complaint being lodged with the police, Mumbai Police did not start investigating the case. Nishat Shamsi told about this, ‘Mumbai Police postponed the case saying that actress Laila Khan is Pakistani. At that time Pakistani actress Veena Malik also came in Bigg Boss and mysteriously went missing for about 3-4 days. The police told the same story to the media that Laila Khan is Pakistani. For a long time, Pakistan was written in place of her birth place on the internet. Laila’s father Nadir created a lot of ruckus on this matter. He said that how can the police call her Pakistani. Her father Nadir was from Bharuch, while her mother Celina was from Lucknow. They had no relation with Pakistan, but the police said this and became very negligent in the case. First it took time to register the complaint and then did not investigate’. Father appealed to hand over the case to NIA Seeing the negligence of the police in the case, on 17 July 2012, Laila Khan’s father Nadir filed a petition in the Bombay High Court and appealed to hand over the case to NIA (National Investigation Agency). The truth of the case came to light from the terrorist attack in Kashmir. A year after Laila Khan’s disappearance, a terrorist attack took place in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. During investigation, Laila Khan’s car was found near the location of the terrorist attack. Lashkar-e-Taiba took responsibility for that attack. The news spread in the media that Laila Khan and her mother Selina used to work together with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Parvez Iqbal Tak was arrested on 21 June 2012 in the terrorist attack case. The same Parvez Tak with whom Laila Khan’s mother Selina had married for the third time. Parvez’s arrest proved to be an important link in the case of Laila Khan’s disappearance. Parvez Tak was the only person who was last seen with Laila’s family in Igatpuri, so the suspicion was directly on him. Parvez Tak made a shocking revelation in his statement to Mumbai Police. He said that Laila and her family were shot dead in February 2011. The case of missing person has now turned into a case of murder. The very next day after this statement, Parvez Tak retracted his statement. He said that Laila Khan and her family are alive. On this, the police brought Parvez Tak to Mumbai to investigate the case from the angle of kidnapping. Parvez Tak was presented in the court in Southern Mumbai on 10 July 2012, from where he was sent to police custody till 19 July. On the strictness of the Crime Branch, Parvez Tak changed his statement for the third time, but what he told this time was shocking. Laila Khan’s stepfather Parvez Tak confessed his crime and said that he wanted to kill Laila’s mother Selina. Selina treated him like a servant and had relations with other men. To take revenge for his insult, Parvez conspired to murder with his friend Sajid. He was going to Dubai. In such a situation, seeing an opportunity, he told Laila’s mother that he wanted to go to Igatpuri with his family on vacation before going to Dubai. Before Laila and her family reached Igatpuri, Parvez Tak had called his friend. One day, as soon as he got a chance, he called his friend Sajid to the farmhouse. After an argument, Sajid held Celina’s hands and Parvez Tak attacked him with a rod. At the time when Celina was being murdered, Laila Khan reached there. Sajid and Parvez also killed Laila. Fearing getting caught, Parvez and Sajid killed everyone present at the farmhouse after Laila and Celina. The pet dogs they had taken with them were also killed. Search for dead bodies and shocking revelations Parvez Tak was constantly changing his statements. In such a situation, Mumbai Police took him to the farmhouse in Igatpuri. Seeing the walls of the farmhouse, the police felt that an attempt had been made to burn the walls. Then on the directions given by Parvez, the police started digging in the rear part of the farmhouse. During the digging, the police found the skeletons of 6 members of the family including Laila Khan. Parvez tried to escape from the case through Lashkar-e-Taiba. He told the police that he had buried all the bodies after the murder. To deceive the police, he took the help of his friends Jolly Gilder and Mehboob to dispose of the three cars. The first car was sent to Indore and the second car to Delhi. The third car was taken to Kishtwar, through which the terrorist attack was carried out in Kishtwar. After committing the murder, Parvez Tak was preparing to flee to Nepal with the help of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. However, before that, a terrorist attack took place in Kishtwar, in which Parvez was arrested. Soon a film will be made on Laila Khan and journalist.
