Pune region sees rise in pass percentage in CBSE class 12 results
MUMBAI: The CBSE class 12 results declared on Monday has seen a rise in the pass percentage (89.78%) of Pune region, which was carved out in 2020. The All India scores have also risen with a pass percentage of 87.98% compared to last year’s 87.33%.
The ISC results announced last week saw Maharashtra with a pass percentage of 99.71%. Across the country ISC pass percentage was 98.29%.The Maharashtra state Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) results are awaited. The CBSE class 12 exams were held from February 15 to April 2, in which over 16 lakh students appeared. The elite club of 95% + scorers increased to 24,068 compared to 22,622 last year.
Students who scored 90% and above also rose to 1.16 lakh compared to last year’s 1.12 lakh. The supplementary exams will be held from July 15 with students allowed to improve their scores in one subject. Like previous years, the board has not announced a merit list.
The board will award merit certificates to top 0.1% students who have got highest marks in subjects. Students can apply for online recheck and re-evaluation.
