Movie Review- Srikanth: Rajkumar throws himself into the role of blind Srikanth; You will not feel pity after watching the film, you will get inspiration, full marks to the director for this.
The film ‘Srikanth’, based on the life of visually impaired Indian industrialist Shrikant Bola, will be released on May 10. We have brought the review of the film a day ago. The length of this biopic genre film is 2 hours 2 minutes. Rajkumar Rao starrer Dainik Bhaskar has given this film a rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars. What is the story of the film? On July 13, 1992, a boy Srikanth (Rajkumar Rao) is born in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. When the boy’s laughter echoes in the house, the parents are filled with joy. However, they are shocked when they come to know that their child is born blind i.e. he cannot see. The child cannot see, but the parents do not interfere in his education. After 10th, Srikanth wants to take admission in science subject, but due to being blind, he does not get admission. With the help of his teacher (Jyotika), Srikanth files a case against the education system and wins. However, even after this, Srikant’s problems do not reduce. Due to being blind, he does not get admission in IIT, but it is said that when the dreams are big, no power in the world can stop him from being successful. Srikanth applies to MIT, America, one of the most prestigious institutes in the world, where he gets admission. After returning from there, you will have to watch the film to know what challenges come in Srikanth’s life and how he starts his own business. How is the acting of the star cast? There is no doubt that Rajkumar Rao is a great actor. In real life, how a blind person talks, how the eyes move, Rajkumar has captured it very well. His acting is top class. Jyotika’s role as a teacher is very serious. After the film Shaitan, his role in this also deserves praise. Alaya F is lovely in the role of Srikanth’s love interest. Sharad Kelkar is also in the role of Srikant’s friend. Jamil Khan’s work in the role of Missile Man and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is also excellent. How is the direction? The film has been directed by Tushar Hiranandani. Generally it is seen that there are more emotional scenes in biopic films, but here emotions have not been imposed. Struggle is shown in the film, but in a very positive manner. While watching the film, you will feel more happiness and inspiration than pity. Tushar has kept the main character absolutely real, he has not hesitated in showing a different side of the character. The dialogues of the film are quite powerful, for this the dialogue writer should get full marks. The first half is pure entertaining, but some scenes in the second half slow down the pace of the story. However, after the climax you will leave the theater feeling good. How is the music of the film? The song Papa Kehte Hain from the film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ has been recreated here. This song suits the sequence of the film. There are some other songs too, which are worth not mentioning. Final Verdict, watch or not? There is an opinion about disabled people in our society that they cannot do anything extraordinary in their life. This film changes this concept. Srikanth has a dialogue in the film – Don’t get trapped in our affair, we will sell you and eat you. Through this dialogue, Srikanth wants to convey that despite being blind, he is no less than anyone. This film is going to inspire you, there is no doubt about that. For this you can definitely turn to theatre.
