Movie Review- Mr. and Mrs. Mahi: Janhvi was seen doing mediocre acting, Rajkumar Rao also looked boring; Cricket sequence is faker than fake

Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ has been released in theatres today. The length of the film is 2 hours 18 minutes. Dainik Bhaskar has given the film a rating of 2 stars out of 5. What is the story of the film? This film is about Mahendra (Rajkumar Rao) and Mahima (Janhvi Kapoor). Both have the nickname Mahi. Both of them are very fond of cricket at one time, but the turn of time pulls them somewhere else. Mahendra wanted to become a cricketer, but could not, while Mahima becomes a doctor as per the wishes of her parents. Mahendra and Mahima meet each other, their thoughts match and they get married. Mahima asks her husband Mahendra to return to cricket again. Mahendra also returns to the field, but his rhythm is not the same as before. Then he sees that his wife, Mahima, is also hitting long sixes. Mahendra then gives up his dream of becoming a cricketer and starts coaching Mahima. He also gets Mahi selected in the state team. With time, Mahendra starts getting insecure about his wife’s success. He feels that Mahima has become famous, but he has remained where he was. The relationship between the two gets spoiled. Now you will have to watch the film to see how their lives change. How is the acting of the star cast? Janhvi Kapoor has disappointed with her acting. Her expressions have been almost the same throughout the film, she seems a bit confused too. She has played the role of a cricketer in the film, but her stance (a batting technique) does not seem clear. She should have practiced a little more to get into the role of a cricketer. Rajkumar Rao has tried to handle it a little, but in most places he also seems boring. He is seen crying in every scene. How is the direction? The film is predictable to a great extent. The story is absolutely flat. Director Sharan Sharma has not been able to create any interest. The dialogues are also written very weakly. The cricket sequence also seems completely fake. This film also has actors like Kumud Mishra and Zarina Wahab, but the director has not been able to get better work out of them. How is the music of the film? The song ‘Tenu Pehli Pehli Baar’ from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ has been recreated in this film. This is the first and last good song of the film. Usually the songs of films made on sports background are energy-giving, nothing like that is seen or heard in this film. Final verdict, should you watch the film or not? If you have a lot of time, and nothing else to do, then only you can go for this film. Those who like Rajkumar Rao’s films can also go, but after watching this they will be disappointed.
