Movie Review- ‘Chhota Bheem’: VFX is amazing, child artist Yagya Bhasin’s work is superb; Length could have been reduced, children will like the film




Yagya Bhasin and Anupam Kher starrer film ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyan’ has been released in theatres. The length of the film is 2 hours 25 minutes. Talking about the story of the film, in this Chhota Bheem and his friends have to go to the mysterious land of Sonapur, a world of 1,000 years ago, in a time travel. Their job is to stop the devil Damyan, who is dividing the future of mankind, from achieving immortality. The film begins with Skandi and Takshika’s dark quest to bring Damyan back to life. They realize that they need a brave and clean hearted person from the past, which introduces Chhota Bheem in a great way. He battles wolves in the snowy mountains. On returning to Dholakpur, Bheem’s friends – Kalia, Dholu Bholu, Chutki, Jaggu, and Raju join in their usual mischief. Bheem’s return marks the beginning of a new adventure as King Indra Varma assigns them the task of exploring Sonapur, which is rumoured to be full of gold. Their journey takes a dangerous turn when they inadvertently free Damyan, who traps the world in imminent danger. Under the guidance of Guru Shambhu, Bheem must now face Damyan and stop his dangerous plans. The second part of the film is full of action and time travel adventures, as Bheem and his friends race against time to save humanity. How is the acting of the starcast? All the characters in the film have brought life to their performances. Yagya Bhasin will win your heart as Chhota Bheem. The child has shown amazing acting. Anupam Kher has shown brilliant performance in the role of Guru Shambhu. His presence in the film gives more strength to the film. Makrand Deshpande and all the co-actors like Navneet Kaur, Megha Chilaka, Mukesh Chhabra all take the story forward very beautifully. How is the direction? Rajiv Chilaka has given the film a different cinematic experience with his direction. The visual effects of the film take you to a different world and no amount of praise is enough for it. But when it comes to making the actors act, Rajiv’s grip seems a little loose. The length of the film could have been reduced a little. How is the music of the film? The music of the film is adding to the beauty of the film. Raghav Sachhar has given very wonderful tracks to the fans of the film through songs like Chhota Bheem theme song and Jamboora. The VFX of the film are amazing. Final verdict, should you watch the film or not? ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ is completely a family entertainer. You can watch it with your entire family. This film is a great gift for children for the holidays.
