Singer Monali Thakur was misbehaved with in a recent concert. The singer was performing on stage, meanwhile a person standing in the crowd commented on her private body part. On hearing the comment, the singer stopped the concert and scolded the person who made the comment. The singer said that people often hide in the crowd and escape after sexually harassing. Monali had come to perform in Bhopal University. Monali had come to perform in Sage University of Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) on Saturday 29 June. There was a crowd of college students in the concert. The show was going on when suddenly Monali stopped singing. She said something to her team pointing towards the crowd and got angry. Monali told the person – You should not say such things. After this, Monali scolded the person publicly on the mic and told that a person standing in the crowd commented on her private part. The singer said, ‘Some people hide and comment on people. This is sexual harassment and this is not right. I am raising my voice on this issue so that they can remember it.’ Monali further said, ‘If someone shouts like this in the public domain, it is not right. You should not be like this, you are very young. You should not say such things. It will not be good to hear this not only for me but for anyone. I just want to say this. I had to raise my voice on this, because people sneak out. I said it when I got the chance. If others would have known, I would have told others too that this is really wrong.’ Monali Thakur’s team also explained to the boy. After the matter calmed down, Monali did not waste any time and started singing again. Singer Monali Thakur has won the National Award. 38-year-old singer Monali Thakur is known for excellent songs like ‘Sawar Loon’, ‘Ye Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’, ‘Tune Mari Entryan’ and ‘Zara Zara Touch Me’. The singer has received the National Award in 2015 for the song ‘Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The singer has also appeared as a judge in shows like Rising Star, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Super Singer.
