Maharashtra Board Class 10 result declared: 95.81% students pass, Konkan region records highest pass with 99%

SSC Maharashtra Result 2024: Key highlightsThe Maharashtra Board has announced the results for Maharashtra SSC Class 10th, however link to check scorecards will be made active after 1 PM. The MSBSHSE has also released specific data pertaining to student’s performance this year. Here’s an overview-
- In March 2023, the overall passing percentage for the Maharashtra Board was 93.83%. By March 2024, this figure had improved to 95.81%, marking a 1.98% increase.
- Among the regions, the Konkan division has emerged with the highest pass percentage, boasting an impressive 99.01%. Among the 26,836 registered students, a commendable 26,780 appeared for the examination. Notably, 9,512 students achieved Distinction (75% and above), while 10,940 secured First Class (60% and above), and 5,184 attained Second Class (45% and above). A total of 881 students passed with a Pass Grade (35% and above), resulting in the remarkable pass percentage of 99.01%. On the other hand, Nagpur had the lowest at 94.73%.
- Of the 72 subjects offered, 18 recorded a perfect pass percentage of 100%. Additionally, 9,382 schools achieved a 100% pass rate. Furthermore, 178,865 students received extra marks for excelling in extracurricular activities such as NCC, sports, art, dance, and music.
- In the Mumbai division, out of 341,184 registered students, 339,269 appeared for the examination. Among them, 97,354 achieved Distinction (75% and above), while 118,006 secured First Class (60% and above), and 83,542 attained Second Class (45% and above). A total of 26,241 students passed with a Pass Grade (35% and above), resulting in an impressive pass percentage of 95.83%.
Previous years’ result overview
Last year, the Board released the 10th SSC result 2023 on June 2 at 11 am via press conference. The overall pass percentage was 93.88. The result was made available at 1 pm. The Maharashtra SSC exams were conducted between March 2 and 25, 2023 in pen and paper mode.
Over the last three years, the Maharashtra Board 10th results have shown varying pass percentages. In 2023, the overall passing percentage was 93.88%, with boys at 92.06% and girls at 95.87%, out of a total of 15,29,095 students.
In 2022, the overall passing percentage was 96.95%, with a total of 15,62,392 students, though specific percentages for boys and girls were not provided.
In 2021, the overall passing rate was remarkably high at 99.94%, with boys at 99.95% and girls at 99.96% out of a total of 15,75,751 students.
