Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission of India on March 16, announced the polling schedule for the upcoming General Election 2024.
The Lok Sabha elections of 2024 will be held in seven phases. Polling begins on April 19 with the first phase of elections. Subsequently, the second phase will be held on April 26, followed by the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20; the sixth phase is scheduled for May 25, and the seventh phase for June 1, 2024.Counting of votes will take place on June 4, 2024.

Rajasthan’s first phase of voting begins on April 19 and ends on April 26, 2024. According to the ECI Lok Sabha election schedule for 2024, Rajasthan will only have two phases of elections. Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha seats, and voting will take place in two phases.

Schools and colleges often close during general elections for a variety of reasons. Schools in urban as well as rural areas serve as polling stations, which requires closure to allow for setting-up, voting, and subsequent counting and other processes.
