Police say that Lawrence Gang had given a contract of Rs 25 lakh for the murder of Salman. For this, the accused were preparing to buy AK-47 rifles, AK-92 rifles and M-16 rifles from Pakistan. Apart from this, they also tried to get Jigana pistol, with which Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed. Police have now filed a chargesheet against 5 accused of Lawrence Gang arrested in this case. 4 accused were arrested on 24 April. On April 14, firing took place at Salman’s house Galaxy Apartment. Navi Mumbai Police arrested four people of Lawrence Gang on 24 April, who were planning to attack Salman’s car in Panvel. These accused were identified as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nhai, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna and Zeeshan Khan alias Javed Khan. The fifth accused in the case was arrested by the police from Haryana on June 3. The police have registered an FIR against a total of 18 people including Lawrence, his brother Anmol, Goldie Brar in this case. The police had collected information by joining Lawrence’s social media group. While giving a press conference on this matter on June 1, Panvel Zone 2 DCP Vivek Pansare had said – We had received some information about the planning of Salman Khan’s murder. After collecting a lot of information, we got added to the social media group related to Lawrence and after joining the group, we kept collecting information from there. Then on April 24, we arrested 4 people. Chikna shooter was arrested from Bengaluru. The search for 10-12 accused is still on in the case. They had also done recce of the actor’s farm house and many shooting spots including Goregaon Film City. The police have also recovered many such videos from their mobiles. Many phones and SIM cards have also been recovered. AK-47 was ordered from Pakistan through video call. These four had done recce of Salman’s house and farmhouse. Out of these, Ajay Kashyap had contacted a person named Dogar living in Pakistan through video call. He was going to order AK-47 from there to attack Salman. The accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal’s daughter. According to the police, all the arrested accused were also in contact with gangster Anandpal’s daughter. The police have also suspected that the five could have used their followers on social media to carry out this murder. Ajay Kashyap is the one who played the role of co-ordinator among all the accused. Ajay was also involved in arms smuggling. The angle related to Pakistan is also being investigated. They would get Salman attacked through a minor and then flee to Sri Lanka. Apart from this, the police had also received information that about 60 to 70 henchmen of Lawrence and Sampat Nehra gang coming from Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Gujarat are keeping an eye on Salman Khan. They were planning to attack Salman through minors. After the attack, their plan was to flee to Sri Lanka from Kanyakumari via boat. Salman was in his house at the time of the firing. After the incident, security was increased outside Salman’s house. Two days after the attack, both the attackers were arrested from Gujarat. During the interrogation of the shooters, both of them confessed to getting the contract for this work from Lawrence gang. Mumbai Crime Branch made Lawrence and Anmol accused in this case and now it is preparing to interrogate Lawrence. Lawrence is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat.
