Karthik told his diet plan for ‘Chandu Champion’: He used to have boiled vegetables for lunch and soup for dinner; said- this routine lasted for one and a half years
Actor Kartik Aaryan’s film ‘Chandu Champion’ has been released in theatres today. In this film, the actor has played the role of Paralympic gold medalist Muralikant Petkar. Building an athlete-like body for this film is no less than a big achievement for the actor. During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor told how he had to plan his diet to maintain an athlete-like body during the entire shooting of this film. During the shooting of ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik Aaryan had to follow a very tough routine. During this, he had to sacrifice many things in food. Kartik said – I had stopped eating roti, rice, potatoes. There was no oil in vegetables at all. I used to take only boiled vegetables for lunch and only soup for dinner. This routine lasted for a full one and a half years. During the shooting, the body was in robotic mode. Kartik Aaryan is a vegetarian. He had very few options to take protein. In such a situation, his nutrition expert had made a diet plan for him with creative recipes and new things. Kartik said- I included tofu, paneer, broccoli, spinach, salad, beans, lentils in my diet. I kept eating all these things for one and a half years. There was no Sunday for me regarding diet, I was engaged in diet and workout every day. Kartik Aryan, director Kabir Khan and the film crew celebrated on the occasion of the end of the shooting. Kabir Khan fed Rasmalai to Kartik and asked- Will you eat it all? Kartik said- Sweets and chocolates are a different matter during the entire shooting of the film. I did not eat even a grain of sugar.
