Police took Darshan to the crime scene on June 12, questioned for hours After the arrest of Thoogudipa and Pavitra on June 11, on June 12, Bengaluru police took both of them to the godown in Pattanavadagere, RR Nagar, where their fan Renukaswamy was murdered. Both were questioned for hours at the crime scene. Police have told, quoting the accused, that after kidnapping, fan Renukaswamy was beaten with belts and sticks. He was picked up and thrown against the wall. Renukaswamy was seriously injured in the assault that continued for about 1 hour and he died. Renukaswamy’s body was found on June 9, Darshan’s close aide arrested a day later Actually, Renuka’s body was found near an apartment in Kamakshipalya area on June 9. The security guard was the first to see it. Some dogs were dragging a dead body in the drain. The guard called the Kamakshipalya police station and informed about the incident. According to the police, the body was of Renukaswamy, who worked in a medical store. During investigation, police found out that deceased Renuka was kidnapped by some people from Chitradurga area. Police suspected Raghu Darshan alias Raghavendra, district president of actor Darshan’s fan association, in this case. Therefore, Raghu was detained along with his two companions and questioned, which revealed the whole case. From 11 pm to 3 am, the mobile numbers of both were active in the same area.
