Kangana Ranaut-Vikramaditya trapped in mutual competition: Star campaigners of BJP and Congress but limited to Mandi seat, no campaigning elsewhere – Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) News
BJP candidate from Mandi, Himachal and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is confined to her Mandi parliamentary constituency. Apart from Mandi, Kangana is not able to go to three other parliamentary constituencies for election campaign. Bharatiya Janata Party has made Kangana Ranaut its star campaigner. After Vikramaditya Singh entered the fray from Congress, Kangana’s contest is no longer easy. To overcome this challenge, Kangana is sweating in the election campaign. On April 23 and 24, Kangana did road shows outside Himachal in West Rajasthan, Jodhpur, Pali and Barmer. Then it was believed that Kangana would do similar road shows in Kangra, Shimla and Hamirpur parliamentary constituencies of Himachal. But the campaign of Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh has kept Kangana surrounded in Mandi area. Kangana’s name is also among 40 star campaigners. On May 13, the BJP high command has released the list of 40 star campaigners for the Lok Sabha by-elections on four seats and Assembly by-elections on six seats in Himachal. Kangana’s name is also included in this. BJP is now deciding where to organize rallies and public meetings of star campaigners in Himachal. In such a situation, eyes are fixed on Kangana’s rally and road show. 98% Hindu population in Himachal, Kangana kept advocating for Hindu Rashtra. According to Himachal CM Sukhu, there is 98 percent Hindu population in the state. In such a situation, Kangana’s role becomes more important. Because Kangana has many times called herself a preacher of Sanatan and has been advocating for the Hindu nation. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how BJP uses Kangana in the three other parliamentary constituencies of Himachal. Till now even Vikramaditya has not been able to come out of Mandi. Vikramaditya Singh has also not been able to come out of Mandi parliamentary constituency till now. The Congress high command had made him a star campaigner in the 2022 assembly elections. Then he himself contested elections from Shimla Rural. During that time, he held election public meetings as a star campaigner in about 17 assembly constituencies of the state. But this has not been seen yet in the Lok Sabha elections. This time also the party high command has made him the star campaigner for the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections. It is possible that in the coming days, Vikramaditya Singh and Kangana Ranaut may be seen coming out of Mandi parliamentary constituency and holding election public meetings and road shows.
