IMU CET 2024 Result: The Indian Maritime University (IMU) has officially declared the results for the Common Entrance Test (IMU CET 2024) conducted for admission into various undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs. The examination was held on June 8, 2024, and candidates who appeared for the test can now check their qualifying status through the official website, imu.edu.in.
According to the IMU CET 2024 results, a total of 14,360 candidates have been offered admission into UG programs.Additionally, 409 candidates have been selected to pursue an MBA at the university, and 46 students have been offered admission into MTech programs.
Counselling and Admission Process

Admission Mechanism
After securing IMU CET ranks, candidates must approach affiliated or non-affiliated institutes for admissions as per their respective admission mechanisms. It is important to note that admissions to the Diploma in Nautical Science program in affiliated institutes are open only to ‘sponsored candidates’, i.e., candidates sponsored by Ship Owning or Managing Companies who qualify in IMU’s CET for UG programs.
MBA Admission Criteria
Admission to the MBA program will be based on IMU CET rank, Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) marks. Qualified candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, social category, availability of seats, and preferences submitted during the counselling process.
Fees and Seat Allotment
The IMU counselling registration fee is Rs 10,000, and the seat acceptance fee is Rs 30,000. Qualified candidates must complete the registration and payment process to secure their seats. The seat allotment will be done based on the rank, category, availability of seats, and candidate preferences.
