In an interview given to Humans of Bombay, Imran said that when he got divorced in 2019, he was feeling very weak emotionally and physically. Getting up from the bed, brushing his teeth and taking a bath also seemed like a big task to him. He did not know whether he would be able to do this or not. He had locked himself in the room by turning off the doorbell. Imran further said, ‘I did not even get up from my bed. I used to lie in pyjamas all day. I had turned off the doorbell, locked myself in the room and lived life in sadness.’ I used to do everything only when my daughter was with me. In the interview, Imran further said, ‘I had the responsibility of my daughter. Both of us had divided the custody of the daughter. She used to stay with me from Thursday to Sunday. When she was with me, it did not matter to me what was going on in my life and how weak I was feeling. At that time, I just felt like doing everything.’ Imran’s daughter is 10 years old Let us tell you that Imran got divorced from his ex-wife Avantika Malik in 2019. The two got married in 2011. In June 2014, Avantika gave birth to daughter Imara. The couple separated in September 2019. Imran’s daughter is now 10 years old.
