Hrithik’s cousin Pashmina Roshan had to face rejection: She was in depression due to self doubt, will debut with Ishq Vishk Rebound

Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan is soon making her Bollywood debut with the film Ishq Vishk Rebound. However, her journey to make a place in films was not easy. Recently, during an interview, she has told that she had to face rejection many times, while she was in depression due to self-doubt. Recently, during an interview with ANI, Pashmina Roshan has said, I was very confused in the initial years. I did not know whether I could become a good actress or not. Although I have done theater during school time, but even then I was not sure. So I applied to different universities to do marketing in the UK. I got my visa, the room was booked. Summer holidays were going on at that time. I was very depressed. All my friends used to go to parties and do everything. I just used to sleep in the afternoon. Further Pashmina has told, I was not satisfied with doing marketing artistically. I didn’t think I would be able to do well or whether it was good for me or not. After this I got my photoshoot done, to see what was in me. I showed my photoshoot to my father and uncle and they agreed. They said that there is something inside every person, we just have to polish it. From that time I took back-to-back acting and dance classes. I learned Bharatnatyam and other dance forms. I started giving auditions continuously. On getting her first film, Pashmina says, “After many years of rejections and taking feedback from family, I got this opportunity and film. I am very grateful for this.” She went to the set of the film Koi Mil Gaya, there she saw the dream of becoming an actor. On being inclined towards acting, Pashmina said, “I used to go to the set of the film Koi Mil Gaya with my sister at a young age. The filmmakers had built Kasauli village in Film City at that time. We used to enjoy a lot there. We did not want to go back home from the set. At that very time, I developed an interest in films. Later on I started doing theatre. Our teachers were very good, due to which we became passionate about acting. Pashmina is the daughter of Rakesh Roshan’s brother. Let us tell you that Pashmina Roshan’s father Rajesh Roshan is the younger brother of Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan. Shah Rukh’s onscreen son Gibran is also a part of the film. The film Ishq Vishk Rebound is releasing in theatres on 21 June. Pashmina Roshan is in the lead role in this film. Along with her, Rohit Saraf and Gibran Khan will be seen in lead roles in the film. Gibran Khan has appeared as a child actor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He worked as an assistant director in the film Brahmastra.
