FMGE June 2024 exam tomorrow: Check exam day guidelines


New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2024 session tomorrow, July 6. The computer-based exam will take place in two shifts: from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates must bring their FMGE 2024 admit cards and a valid photo ID proof to the exam hall.Entry to the examination center will not be granted without the admit card.
According to an official notice from NBEMS, “All FMGE JUNE-2024 applicants are urged to review the information bulletin thoroughly and their admit cards to prevent any last-minute hassle.”

FMGE June 2024: Exam Day Guidelines

The NBEMS has shared important guidelines for FMGE candidates. Here are the important pointers to keep in mind:

  • Print the admit card on both sides of a single A4 size paper.
  • Arrive at your allotted test centre on time to avoid delays on exam day.
  • Carry all prescribed documents for verification at the time of entry.
  • Refrain from bringing prohibited items into the exam hall.
  • Bring necessary medical documents for using medications or medical devices during the test.
  • Keep your admit card and identity proof easily accessible throughout your time at the exam center.
  • Avoid tattooing your fingers to prevent issues with biometric registration.
  • Maintain silence and discipline during the exam. Raise your hand if you need assistance from the invigilator.
  • Complete each section of the question paper within the specified time limits.
  • Do not engage in conversation or attempt to view other candidates’ computer screens.
  • Cooperate with exam staff and follow their instructions. Beware of dishonest individuals offering unfair advantages during the exam.

FMGE 2024: Prohibited Items

The medical board stated that items listed as prohibited in the admit card are not permitted inside the test centre. It clarified that candidates cannot use washrooms at the beginning of the exam but may do so before registration or after the exam has started. Here are the items that FMGE candidates are not allowed to carry at the examination hall:

  • Water bottles or food items are prohibited inside the exam center. However, exceptions will be made for diabetics or pregnant women who may be allowed to carry small amounts of simple sugars or food in transparent pouches after verification.
  • Face masks are not allowed unless supported by medical documentation.
  • Pens or pencils should not be brought into the exam centre, and no rough paper will be provided.
  • Candidates will have access to a digital standard calculator on their computer screen.

The NBEMS has emphasized that the examination is closely monitored, and any involvement in unfair practices will be strictly handled according to applicable laws and guidelines.
