LIVE: Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump campaigns in North Carolina. He will not be joined by his party’s embattled pick for North Carolina governor as per the Trump campaign. Trump had earlier endorsed Mark Robinson, who is in the centre of a scandal following an explosive CNN report. The CNN report claimed Robinson once called himself a Black Nazi and proposed bringing back slavery in comments posted on a porn website. Several Republicans fear that Robinson’s candidacy here could damage Trump’s chances in the battleground state where polls show Trump tied with Democratic rival Kamala Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
