Difficulties increased after ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’: Richa Chadha said- I had to change my image of a middle-aged woman, I used to wear glamorous clothes to functions

Richa Chadha made her Bollywood debut with Dibakar Banerjee’s film ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’. After this, she showed her best performance in Anurag Kashyap’s classic film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ Part 1 and 2. Richa has recently appeared in the role of Lajjo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series ‘Heeramandi’. In an interview, she recently talked about the challenges in breaking the stereo type image after working in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Richa told that after ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, she used to wear glamorous clothes to award functions to show her real self. She wanted people to know what I really look like. Because she did not want people to see her as a middle-aged village woman. She said- I just wanted to see how people react to seeing me like this. Richa said that she never thought that she would do a song with Bhansali. This was the trick through which she changed that stereotype image. Everyone has the problem of stereotypes, but you also find some people who understand who you are. I never thought that I would do a song with Bhansali sahab after ten years of my career. However, Richa’s journey to success was not easy. During the conversation, she recalled how she was replaced from characters at the last moment. She said- There have been many times when I did not get the characters that I wanted to do. Sometimes I was also shortlisted for the character and I knew that I was the best for that work. But still I did not get it. This has happened many times. The actress was asked that when those people say that you are not right for this character, what do you do? Richa said- I am not one of those people who go to his office and tell him to please take me. I do not do all this. Richa will give birth to a child in July Richa announced her pregnancy through her official Instagram handle in February. Now the news is that she is going to give birth to her first child in July. These days Richa is in the third trimester of pregnancy. Talking about Richa’s upcoming projects, after ‘Heeramandi’, she will now be seen in ‘Mirzapur 3’ and ‘Metro In Dinon’.
