Delhi University postpones summer vacation by a week, check official notice here |

NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has announced a change in its academic calendar, postponing the start of the summer vacation by a week. As per the latest notification, the summer vacation will now commence on June 14, 2024, instead of the originally scheduled date of June 7, 2024. The vacation will end on July 21, 2024, as initially planned.
In line with the revised schedule, the summer break has been effectively reduced by a week.The initial notification detailed the academic calendar for the undergraduate programmes for the remaining part of the 2023-24 academic year.

Semester II/IV/VI/VIII
• Commencement of classes: January 18, 2024
• Mid-Semester Break: March 24-31, 2024
• Commencement of classes after Mid-Semester Break: April 1, 2024
• Preparatory leave and practical exams: May 12-20, 2024
• Theory exams start: May 21, 2024
• Revised Summer Vacation: June 14 to July 21, 2024

This modification aims to streamline the academic schedule and accommodate any unforeseen disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on the students’ academic progress. Students are advised to take note of these changes and plan accordingly.
