Delhi High Court restricts 18 websites from illegally streaming the Ranbir Kapoor – Alia Bhatt starrer BrahmastraAs per reports, Star India moved a suit over copyright infringement stating that it was industry practice to have theatrical release first and later make films available to different platforms. Further, in its suit the company state that the theatrical release of the film is the most critical stage as the commercial value of the film was dependant on it. Following this suit, the Delhi High Court has come down on rogue websites restricting the illegal streaming on the film. In fact, in its ruling the Delhi High Court has directed the ministry to issue notifications asking internet service providers to block these sites.
As for the film, Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure film helmed by Ayan Mukerji is heavy on VFX and will be released in standard, 3D, IMAX 3D, and 4DX 3D formats worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy and cameos by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
