CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2024: How to apply for re-evaluation and verification of marks
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday declared the CBSE 10th, 12th Result 2024. Students who have participated in the CBSE Board Exams 2024 can access their results through the official website of the Board at https://cbseresults.nic.in/.
Along with the CBSE Class 10, 12 Results 2024, the Board also announced the schedule for marks verification, obtaining photocopies of evaluated answer sheets, and re-evaluation processes.These services are available to students unhappy with their scores.
Starting May 17 until May 21, Class 12 students can apply for marks verification, whereas the window for Class 10 mark verification opens from May 20 to May 24. Availing of these services requires a fee of Rs 500 per subject.
“In the 2024 examinations, 22,81,225 students from 25,726 schools in 82 subjects from India and 26 countries abroad were registered in class X and according to the subjects offered by these students about 1,48,27,963 answer books were evaluated,” the Board mentioned in its notification.
Should students remain dissatisfied with their CBSE Results 2024, they have further recourse available, with the board outlining specific timelines, procedures, and associated fees.
Steps to Apply for CBSE Re-evaluation Process 2024
Step 1: Candidates initiate the process by applying for verification, wherein the board thoroughly reviews the total marks and ensures the accuracy of each question’s marking by the examiner. Subsequently, the results of the verification request are published on the board’s website, potentially resulting in adjustments to the marks.
Step 2: Upon completion of verification, students have the option to either accept the revised result or proceed with requesting a photocopy of their answer sheets. Access to the photocopies is provided online, allowing students to review their marked answer sheets.
Step 3: If students remain dissatisfied with their marks following the preceding steps, they can opt for re-evaluation, focusing on specific questions rather than the entire answer sheet. This process incurs a fee per question, and students can choose to re-evaluate as many questions as they desire.
Upon conclusion of the re-evaluation process, the CBSE will issue a new revised marksheet, accessible through DigiLocker. However, a printed copy of the revised marksheet is only available after the submission of the initial marksheet.
