The step comes in pursuance to the order of Bihar High Court’s ruling on the Ranjeet Kumar Ray & Ors vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. The official notice from BPSC (originally in Hindi), states, “According to the order issued by the Honourable High Court of Patna on May 16, 2024, under Advertisement No.24/2024, Agriculture Department, Bihar, Patna, there are 318 (three hundred and eighteen) vacant posts of Block Horticulture Officer under the Horticulture Directorate. According to the advertisement published on February 23, 2024, the date for filling out the online application for appointment is extended.”
