The Bihar School Examination Board has postponed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), originally scheduled for June 26 to 28, due to “unavoidable circumstances.” The board announced that new exam dates will be provided soon.
In an official notification (originally in Hindi), the board stated: “…all District Education Officers, all District Program Officers (Establishment), and all concerned are informed that the Competency Test, 2024 (II) scheduled for both shifts from 26.06.2024 to 28.06.2024 is postponed due to unavoidable reasons. The new examination date will be announced later.”
Here is the official notice:

This postponement follows the backdrop of paper leaks in UGC-NET and NEET-UG exams. On June 20, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam after it was discovered that the question paper had been leaked on the darknet. Additionally, the NTA postponed the CSIR-UGC-NET exam, which was scheduled for June 25 to 27, citing “unavoidable circumstances” in a notification issued on June 21.
The NTA conducted the UGC-NET June 2024 Examination in OMR (pen and paper) mode on June 18 across 1,205 exam centers in 317 cities. Nearly 10 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, which is held to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges and for junior research fellowships.
