Avneet said on working in ‘Love Ki Arrange Marriage’: I like comedy films the most, Sunny Singh said – rejection is a part of success
After ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, actress Avneet Kaur will be seen sharing the screen with Sunny Singh for the first time in the film ‘Love Ki Arrange Marriage’. The film will be released on Zee Five on June 14, 2024. Recently, Sunny Singh, Avneet Kaur, writer-producer Raj Shandilya and director Ishrat R. Khan had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar regarding this film. Avneet Kaur told that she likes comedy films the most. Talking about rejection, Sunny Singh called it a part of success. He also said that when work is not available, a heartbreak moment definitely comes in every actor’s life. Avneet, first of all tell me how did you prepare for the film ‘Love Ki Arrange Marriage’? This film has a very beautiful story. Along with the beautiful story, the team of the film is very good. I always wanted to do a comedy film. My friends often tell me that my sense of humor is good. That’s why I did this film. Sunny, you have a long association with the subject of weddings, do you get offered such films again and again? I don’t know why I get offered such films. Talking about this film, the character in it is a little different. This film has a different story. In this, the father also has to be handled. At the age of his son’s marriage, he is also looking for a bride for himself. Different layers will be seen in this. Raj Shandilya, tell us whose idea was the casting? When I was writing the film, I had told Sunny Singh that there is another wedding. I wanted a girl opposite Sunny so that the pair of both looks fresh. I cast Avneet keeping this in mind. Annu Kapoor has been in two of my films before this. Supriya Pathak is working with us for the first time. Rajpal Yadav is like a member of our family. Ishrat, tell us what was the atmosphere on the set during the shooting? It was a very good atmosphere. Before shooting the film, we had thought that the couple in it should look made for each other. If this casting was not perfect, it would have been a problem. Avneet, after ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’, you are doing ‘Love’s Arrange Marriage’. Have you decided that you will work only with heroes with short names, like you are doing with Sunny in this film? Sheru, Love and Sunny are very cute and sweet names. Sunny is playing the character of Love in this film. He is very intelligent. Working with him has been very easy. I never felt pressure. Sometimes it happens that if there is no proper coordination with the actor, then there is an ego clash. But on the very first day of shooting this film, it became clear that Sunny is a very sweet person. Sunny, tell us how was your experience with Avneet? It is my habit that if I have a good bonding with someone, then I make them laugh even in a serious scene. Well, all this keeps happening. If we talk about Avneet, I have seen that she is very dedicated towards her work. She stays focused on her work. She does not consider herself an actor on the set, but behaves like a normal family. Your specialty is that you give comic timing with great innocence? Everyone has their own way of doing work. I like to work naturally and honestly. When you have a good team with you. When there are senior actors like Annu Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Rajpal Yadav and Sudhir Pandey, then it becomes a blessing for you. Sometimes good comic timing comes out in improvisation. Avneet, there was a lot of drama and crying in the first film, how much are you enjoying this film? After crying in the first film, it became necessary to do a little comedy. To be honest, I wanted to do a comedy film. I am a big fan of comedy films and keep watching them again and again. If ever my mood gets bad, then I think of watching a good comedy film with my family. Have you seen any film of the producer and writer of this film Raj Shandilya and Sunny Singh? I have seen Raj sir’s Dream Girl. I liked that film very much. I had seen Sunny in ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, I must admit he is a wonderful actor. Both of these are my favourite films. The first look of the film ‘Love in Vietnam’ was presented at the Cannes Film Festival. You are the youngest actress of the Indian film industry who participated in Cannes, how was that feeling? I was very excited to go to the Cannes Film Festival. A few days ago, I was talking to friends about going there and suddenly the plan to go was made. When I was going on the red carpet after the poster launch, I was told that I am the youngest actress of the Indian film industry who was on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. That was a very proud moment for me. TV actors are not taken seriously in films, Sunny, tell us how did you break the TV tag? Since childhood, I was told that you have to become a hero. Dad also had a dream and I also wanted to come on the big screen. No one helped me. Daddy said that if you stand in the line, you will know how much struggle there is. After watching films, I used to go to the terrace and perform. I did not know what was being performed, I just used to practice. During that time, I did one or two shows to get the experience of camera. But when I joined theatre, I came to know what acting is. During that time, you must have given a lot of auditions? I gave a lot of auditions. I used to come thinking that I will get work, but I did not get it. When one does not get work, there is definitely a heartbreak moment in every actor’s life. During that time, I met Luv Ranjan sir. I formed a bond with him. He felt that if a person is good, then we will teach him the work. If a person is not good, then how will he do good work. ‘Akashvani’ was my first film. People praised my acting in the film a lot. Before this, there was a phase of rejection. But this is also a part of success. Avneet, tell me how challenging was the tag of TV for you? I took a break of two years from TV after doing the serial ‘Aladdin’. At that time I had dengue and was admitted in the hospital. After recovering, I did not sit at home, I kept learning something or the other. After that, I got work in ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’.
