When this thing happened, we tried to handle it together. I hired a lawyer, sent notices to media houses. The boyfriend of a friend of Riya was a big lawyer, we hired him. Even after that our relationship was fine. We were working together in a film before this incident. When things got better, we shot that multi-starrer film again, although that film could not be completed. But I don’t know how things changed after that.’ Further Ashmit said, ‘Maybe someone provoked Riya, then she started thinking that it was my mistake. But I think she knew in her heart that it was not my mistake’. Further Siddharth Kannan asked whether you were judged. On this Ashmit said, ‘Yes, of course, when something like this happens, because you are a boy, people blame you. People think that he must have done something. So it was very difficult for me.
