‘Anupama’ fame Waqar Shaikh breaks silence on trolling: Said- I do my work honestly, negative comments have no impact
These days, actor Waqar Sheikh is seen in the serial ‘Anupama’. remains in the headlines for his ongoing track between Anuj (Gaurav Khanna), Anupama (Rupali Ganguly), and Yashdeep (Waqar Shaikh). However, the truth is that in the last few months there has been a decline in the TRP of the show. Fans of the show are trolling Waqar Sheikh a lot on social media. Fans are a bit disappointed as Anuj and Anupama have now separated. If Waqar is to be believed, he was prepared for this reaction of the fans from the beginning. While talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Waqar said, ‘I have been a part of a triangle love story before also. I did the serial ‘Heena’ in the 90s. Initially there was some other actor opposite the lead actress. A year later, the makers brought a change in the story line. My character became opposite to Heena. Even after that the show remained a superhit for 4 years. It is not that if you enter a popular show in the middle, the audience will not like it. But with time, they also accept you. Regarding trolling on social media, the actor says, ‘The good thing is that I do not take trolling seriously at all. I am active on this platform. I also enjoy it a lot. But negative comments have no effect on me. I do my work honestly. I have been in this industry for almost 30 years. I am sure that the audience which is hating me today will also love me tomorrow. The actor also expressed his opinion on the falling TRP of the show. He said, ‘Our show is still the number 1 show. This means that the makers and actors are doing a good job. TRP matters a lot for any show makers. However, as an actor we can only give our 100 percent. Let us tell you, Waqar has been a part of many TV shows like ‘Chandrakanta’, ‘Saraswatichandra’, ‘Savdhaan India’, ‘Sara Akash’, ‘Jannat’.
