After Wearing Contacts for 12 Years, I Switched to Glasses.. Here’s Why!

I’ve been wearing contact lenses for the past 12 years but a recent trip to Lenscrafters, changed my mind about getting glasses, and now, I don’t think I can ever go back!

Those of you who wear contacts know that despite the fact that contacts came a long way, they are not particularly comfortable to wear… I have sensitive eyes, which makes them particularly unpleasant to wear. Red and itchy eyes, especially towards the end of the day are a daily reality, but I could never find frames I truly liked, so I stuck to lenses.

On a recent trip to Palo Alto, I went to a newly-opened Lenscrafters store and found not 1, but 2 pairs of frames I absolutely adore!

The first, are the gorgeous Prada tortoise frames I am wearing in today’s post. Love the irregular frame shape, love the beautiful brown/green color combo and love the sleek and modern design. They are also incredibly light-weight and comfortable to wear, in fact, I can hardly feel them at all.

The second pair is by Burberry! I wanted a slightly more polished, dressier pair and these Burberry cat-eyes frames are exactly it! I am planning to pair them with blazers, polished tops and even cocktail attire! Bonus points, they look very chic paired with a red lip!
