Abhishek Banerjee said about the fees of actors: Stars demand unnecessary fees, supporting actors earn less than the bodyguards of stars
Famous actor and casting director Abhishek Banerjee has revealed a truth related to the industry. He told that many times the supporting actors of the film earn less than the bodyguards of the stars. During an interview, Abhishek discussed the increasing fees of the actors. He also talked about the effect of the actors’ fees on the budget of the film. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, he said – It completely depends on the actor being a star. The actor cannot be blamed for this. This thing is decided by the producers. I have also been the casting director of many films and shows for many years. Stars sometimes make unnecessary demands. Because of that many actors do not get paid. Supporting actors get less money. Extending his point, Abhishek said – Makers tell me to cast actors for less money. I don’t know whether big stars know this or not. This is the reason that many times good actors get as much money as peanuts. He said – It is true that only big stars pull the audience to the theater. But supporting actors also add value to it. We cannot deny their hard work. Some actors even get paid less than the bodyguards of stars. How is the budget of the film prepared? Abhishek tells that the entire budget of the film goes to the stars. Because of this, the budget of supporting actors starts getting cut. This demotivates them from the very beginning or you replace them with someone who does not know how to do his work properly. The effect of all this is visible on the screen as well. Because of this, if the film flops, the makers go into such a shock as if they do not know what is happening. Talking about Abhishek’s upcoming projects, he will be seen in ‘Stree 2’ with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from this, he will also be seen in John Abraham’s film ‘Veda’.
