75% jump in the earnings of ‘Munjaya’ due to mouth publicity: Total collection is 11.61 crores, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ earned 2.22 crores on the second Saturday
Supernatural comedy film ‘Munjaya’ is getting tremendous benefit of word of mouth publicity. The film earned 7 crore 40 lakh rupees on the second day. With this, its earnings have jumped by 75%. The film had earned 4 crore 21 lakh rupees on the opening day. Now its total collection in two days has become 11 crore 61 lakh rupees. While its occupancy was 21.49% on the first day, it improved further to 30.99% on the second day. The film is earning well without any star. The special thing is that despite being without any big star, this film has done a better opening day collection than many recently released films. This film starring Sharvari and Abhay Verma is directed by Aditya Sarpoddar. It is jointly produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. This is the fourth film of Maddock Supernatural Universe after ‘Stree’, ‘Roohi’ and ‘Bhediya’. There was a jump in the earnings of ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ on Saturday. The film, which collected 24 crore 89 lakh rupees in the first week, did a business of only 1 crore 31 lakh rupees on the second Friday. However, it performed better on the second Saturday and collected 2 crore 22 lakh rupees. Now the total collection of this film has become 28 crore 42 lakh rupees. This film has been jointly produced by Zee Studio and Karan Johar. The film is directed by Sharan Sharma, who has previously worked with Janhvi on ‘Gunjan Saxena’. Saavi earned 13.25 crores in the first week. ‘Saavi’, which released on 31 May along with ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’, earned 13 crore 25 lakh rupees in the first week. Apart from Divya, Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane are also seen in important roles in this film. It has been directed by ‘Delhi Belly’ fame director Abhinay Deo.
