CBSE Result 2024: The results of the CBSE Class 12th Board exam 2024 were released today by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Results are available for those who took the exam between February and April 2024 at cbseresults.nic.in, the official website of the CBSE. Like each year, the CBSE has offered thorough insights into student performance, emphasising regional accomplishments and pass rates as critical success indicators.

Student participation in CBSE class 12th Board exam 2024
With 1,450,174 students passing all subjects out of the 1,630,730 who registered for the exams in 2024, there was a minor increase in the overall pass percentage from 87.33% to 87.98%.This improvement is the result of a 0.65% rise in the pass rate from the previous year. There were 1,680,256 students that took the exams in total in 2024.
Number of schools participating in 2024
Schools’ participation in the 2024 exams increased significantly over the previous year. The number of schools actively involved in facilitating the examination process increased to 18,417 in 2024 from 16,728 in 2023. In order to accommodate the greater participation, 7,126 examination centres were established in order to streamline the examination procedure.

Gender-wise performance analysis for CBSE Class 12 result 2024
Analyzing the gender-based performance, it’s evident that both girls and boys showed improvement in their pass percentages from 2023 to 2024. Girls exhibited a consistent lead over boys in both years, with a pass percentage of 91.52% in 2024 compared to 90.68% in 2023, while boys saw an increase from 84.67% in 2023 to 85.12% in 2024. However, the gap between girls and boys narrowed slightly from 6.01% in 2023 to 6.40% in 2024.
Top-performing schools with the highest percentage of students passing the CBSE class 12 exam in 2024
In terms of institutional performance, several institutes demonstrated exceptional results in 2024. The Central Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA) maintained its top position with a remarkable pass rate of 99.23%, showcasing consistent excellence compared to its 2023 performance of 98.50%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) also showcased impressive improvement, with JNV achieving a pass rate of 98.90% in 2024 compared to 97.80% in 2023, and KV achieving 98.81% in 2024 compared to 97.50% in 2023. These institutions’ commendable performance underscores their dedication to fostering academic success and maintaining high standards of education.
